Collaborate 2011 presents Dr. Daniel Amen on Thursday, October 20, 2011

 

Dr. Amen will be presenting "Magnificent Mind At Any Age" at Calvary Community Church. The presentation is open to the public. Tickets are $50 and are available by calling Tara Murray at 250 374 0679, local 209.

 

 

 

It is never too early or too late to start developing a magnificent mind.  A balanced brain is the foundation for a life that is happier, healthier, wealthier and wiser.  This program will help you understand how to develop and take care of your brain to ensure your life will be better, no matter what your age!  Specifically, you will learn:

  • Mind and brain are completely dependent on each other
  • Normal is a myth.  More than 50% of us will need brain help at some point
  • 7 steps to creating a brain healthy life and brain healthy families
  • Tools to think clearly and counteract negative thinking and moods

School District No. 73 (Kamloops/Thompson) and Thompson Rivers University are excited to host their fifth annual International Conference.  Collaborate 2011: Transforming Schools Through Family, School and Community Partnerships is a conference exploring Parental Leadership in Schools, 21st Century Learning and teaching.  We are bringing together a highly regarded group of speakers including Dr. Daniel Amen (Change Your Brain, Change Your Body and Magnificent Brain at Any Age), Dr. Martin Brokenleg, Wayne Hulley, Angela Maiers and Laura Lipton to share their knowledge and expertise on these important topics.  Scheduled for October 20 to 22, 2011, this conference will give administrators, teachers, support staff, parents and students a chance to consider how education is evolving and to explore new ideas for the future.  We hope that you can be a part of the excitement.

Kamloops, British Columbia is easily accessible by road (four hours) and air (one hour) from Vancouver.  Kamloops Airport is serviced by Air Canada, WestJet and Central Mountain Air.
