Please join us on Friday for an insightful and entertaining evening with Peter Cowley (Director of School Performance Studies, Fraser Institute), Susan Lambert, (President of the BC Teachers’ Federation), Dr. J. Douglas Willms (Director of the Canadian Research Institute for Social Policy, University of New Brunswick) and Dr. Charles Webber (Dean – Faculty of Human, Social and Educational Development, Thompson Rivers University). Dr. Terry Sullivan will be moderating this discussion.
Dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. in the Grand Hall, with the Panel Discussion following. Tickets are $35 each and are available in limited quantities. Thompson Rivers University and Kamloops/Thompson (School District #73) are bringing together some of the most exciting leaders and educators of our time to build a community of learners for three days in October by hosting its very first three day International Conference on Assessment. Some of the best known speakers on topic including Dr. J. Douglas Willms, Bruce Wellman and Dr. Sandi Kitts will be presenting at “ASK: Assessing Student Knowledge” – an International Conference on Assessment. Scheduled for October 21 to 23, 2010 at Thompson Rivers University, this Conference is a chance for all teachers and administrators to come together to have meaningful discussions about assessment, how to improve assessment practices and incorporate the new ideas presented by the speakers. We hope that you can be a part of it!
