Norkam has been taking an active role this year with our Me To We campaign. We have already been privileged enough to take part in two phenomenal experiences. The first was a trip down to Vancouver where a select group of leadership and peer helping students participated in We Day. Here we had a chance to hear from Jane Goodall, Michel Chikwanine, Craig and Mark Kielburger and his holiness, the Dalai Lama. Everyone that went is doing a fantastic job sharing and implementing the lessons and messages they brought back with them. The students that did not get a chance to travel down to Vancouver got a small taste of the energy we experienced while there on December first when Michel Chikwanine came and spoke at Norkam. His performance was beyond inspiring and really put a perspective on how fortunate we truly are. We would like to thank CAAN Kamloops and our principal Sheryl Lindquist for organizing this event. The support for our student and staff body has been outstanding and to date we have already raised over fifteen hundred dollars for a water project we are building in Kenya! Keep it up Norkam, let's be the change!
