School District No. 73 operates a comprehensive distributed learning program known as @KOOL. Distributed learning takes place outside of the traditional school classroom when a learner is primarily at a distance from the educator and school. Students often choose distributed learning because they are living in a remote community, because a particular course is not available to them or because of a learning preference.
Distributed learning is primarily offered online using a variety of software tools such as Moodle and WebCT to allow students to access the curriculum and to interact with teachers.
More information on distributed learning in School District No. 73, including registration procedures, can be found at the @KOOL website.
