Food For Thought

On May 17th, Mrs. Adkins and Mrs. Cacaci's grade 9/10s at Sa-Hali Secondary School presented a cultural celebration of learning through Foods and Art for parents and community members. Contrasting contemporary practices of mass production, art displays fused traditional Aboriginal food practices with ideas around sustainability and health, while the foods department supplemented the art show with food tastings of deer stew, moose and bison chili, 3 sisters soup, berries and bannock! Yum... Mrs. Adkins and Mrs. Cacaci wish to thank their students for engaging with this theme and committing to the learning process - even when it was tough! Way to go kids!
