In School District #73, we want to encourage students to be curious learners who want to deeply understand the world around. As a result, in classrooms around the district, teachers are using inquiry-based learning to encourage students to study a worthy question, issue, problem or idea through doing the authentic, real work that that someone in the community might do. Students then present their findings in a presentation of learning to an authentic audience that can include their peers, teachers, parents, and members of the community.
