After learning about the Samaritan Purse's Shoebox Project in the Kamloops Daily News, RL Clemitson Elementary staff and students decided to collect items for one shoebox per class. At the end of our campaign, our 12 classes collected items to put together 45 shoeboxes for children in South America and Mexico. In return for their efforts the Kamloops Wildlife Park donated one child's admission for each box donated. This was enough for two primary classes to receive a fieldtrip. A win-win for all involved!
