Student wins gold!
Kamloops/Thompson International Student -Young Soo Kim participated in the World Spelling and Math competitions in March 2012. Young Soo who has attended McGowan Park Elementary School since 2010 placed 1st in Canada on the Spelling Day competition for the 11-13 age division and received a ranking of 30th in the World! In Math Young Soo placed 8th in Canada for the 11-13 age division. After a successful ESL experience in Canada Young Soo will be returning to Korea for next years studies. Congratulations Young Soo!
