
Through a partnership between School District No. 73 and Thompson Rivers University, students may choose from a variety of programs under the banner of TRU>START or Entry Level Trades Training. All of these programs are tuition free.

TRU>START
These are on campus offerings enabling students to take a maximum of two first-year university courses while still in Grade 12, or to take a full year certificate program in one of:
- Horticulture Program
- Early Childhood Education Diploma Program
- Health Care Assistant Program
- Applied Business Technology (Administrative Assistant) Program
- Management Certificate Program
Entry Level TradesTraining (ELTT)
These programs are a collaboration between Industry, Thompson Rivers University and School District No. 73. The Southern Interior Development Initiative Trust also provides financial assistance to the program.
High school students interested in a variety of trades can enroll in trades courses at TRU while still in high school:
- Mechanical Trades Foundation Training
- Automotive Service Technician
- Heavy Duty / Commercial Transport Mechanic
- Parts and Warehousing
- Power Sports and Marine Equipment Technician
- Welding Level C
- Construction Trades Foundation Training

Secondary School Apprenticeship (SSA)
Students may also begin the apprenticeship journey towards a Red Seal by taking part in the Secondary School Apprenticeship ("SSA") Program. Students in the program are eligible to receive four courses for graduation while being paid to work outside of the school.
