Grade 2 and 4 students at Parkcrest and Juniper Ridge elementary schools worked with their classroom teachers and teacher-librarians on a terrific Monster Match collaboration. Each class designed and built their own three dimensional "monster" from a pre-determined list of supplies/materials. They then had to write a descriptive "how to" paragraph of how to re-create their monster as accurately possible. Each class posted their directions to a project wiki, and then tried to build their partner class' monster from the directions given. To culminate the project, the classes "met" via interactive videoconferencing technology to compare monsters, and see how well they did at following each others' directions!
